This project consists of the design, production, and validation of the physical structure of a solar tracker system based on a photovoltaic panel of 50 W. All the equipments are arranged in an autonomous platform, a rover, which can be moved at any direction. As long as the rover moves, the solar tracker must reposition itself in order to stay aligned with the sun light, so as to extract the maximal power energy from the sun. In this project, the MPPT method will be used to extract the maximal power energy from the photovoltaic panel.
This project represents an undergraduate project, a requirement for the student to obtain the bachelor degree in “Control and Automation Engineering”.
